Cashew Farm
Cashew is a valuable tree crop that produces apples and nuts and thrives in climates of annual rainfall and distinct wet and dry seasons. The domesticated cashew tree grows very well in most parts of Ghana. The tree can produce wood for products like shipping crates, boats, and charcoal, as well as a gum that is like gum arabic, which is valuable in local economies. The resin found in the fruit's shells is employed as a pesticide and in the manufacture of polymers, as well as in traditional medicine. The cashew apple is used in beverages, jams, and jellies, but most cultivation is focused on the valuable seed crop.
